(FAQS)
-
Are you feeling overwhelmed and exhausted from anxiety and/or panic?
Have you had a lot of change or stress in your life and need a place to process?
Are you a teen or young adult transitioning into college or the workforce and find yourself paralyzed by stress of adjusting?
Are you feeling overwhelmed as a parent and the daily mental load of it all?
Are you a professional who would like to work on personal growth but worried about the privacy and/or stigma of going to counseling?
If any of those questions resonate with you then you’ve come to the right place! I specialize in anxiety and related disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), life transitions/adjustments, and stress management. My ideal clients typically find themselves frustrated with managing daily anxiety and stress or struggles with obsessions and compulsions (i.e. excessive hand washing, intrusive/disturbing thoughts, rituals involving counting, symmetry, etc). I also enjoy working with young adults who find themselves stressed and anxious while navigating their career or schooling, parents struggling with the overwhelm and demands of parenthood, and professionals looking for work on personal growth.
Through our work together, we can examine your concerns in a holistic manner and develop a treatment plan that best fits your needs. My therapeutic approach is integrative, has a background centered in humanistic therapy, and often combines the evidence based practices of mindful self-compassion and cognitive behavioral therapy.

I require 24-hour notice for cancellations. The no-show/late cancellation fee is $75. I do not charge for illness or emergencies. I ask that all clients do not attend session if they are feeling ill and instead either cancel or switch to a telehealth/virtual session.

I utilize HIPAA-compliant video, phone and email platforms. I ask clients to find a quiet, private space for sessions and to use headphones and a sound machine to ensure privacy.

I am currently only paneled with Optum/UHC. I am considered out-of-network with other insurance companies, which means I do not have a contract with them and fees are due at the time of service. However, I am happy to provide a superbill after each session which you may be able to submit for out-of-network benefits. If your insurance provider decides that they will not reimburse you, then you are still responsible for the full amount.

First, this is a completely normal response! After our initial phone conversation to gather information and get you scheduled, I will send you a link to the secure, HIPAA-compliant portal where you can answer questionnaires, sign paperwork, send secure messages, and find the link for our telehealth sessions. Our first session will always include reviewing paperwork (i.e. - informed consent, background information, etc), discussing concerns and symptoms to begin developing your treatment plan, and I can answer any questions you have at that point. Having paperwork submitted through the online portal at least a day before your first session is always helpful and makes for a more time-efficient session.

If you have no out-of-network benefits or choose not to use them, then sessions are $155 for a 50-55 minute session. The initial evaluation session is $180. Each client is provided with a Good Faith Estimate before the initial session to explain fees and total costs. To read more about the No Surprises Act, please read this article.
